Twinkleby: A New Cozy Decorating Game from Shelter's Developers

Might and Delight unveils their new project, Twinkleby, reminiscent of the cozy game trend with a focus on furnishing dollhouses and welcoming quirky residents.

Might and Delight, the studio known for the emotive Shelter series, is venturing into new territory with its upcoming game, Twinkleby, set for release in 2025. This unique title is described as a “relaxing decoration game” focused on a floating archipelago.

In Twinkleby, players will have the chance to decorate Victorian dollhouses and gardens using a growing array of decorative items. As they progress, they will see flying boats delivering new inhabitants who settle in their created worlds. Each character has a distinct personality, and players must discover how to make them content, leading to various rewards.

The style of Twinkleby echoes the charming essence of other decorating games like Tiny Glade and Summerhouse, emphasizing player-driven design without a fail state. Users can customize their dollhouses to attract residents and collect shooting stars, which are used for purchasing items and altering weather and seasons at will.

Despite the challenges following the release of Book of Travels, which did not perform well sales-wise, Might and Delight’s new direction brings back the vibrant colors and whimsical atmosphere reminiscent of Animal Crossing. While the exact release date is yet to be specified, the anticipation is building for this adorable adventure in cozy gaming.
