Team Ninja Issues Apology for Poor Performance of Rise of the Ronin on PC

After a subpar release on PC, Team Ninja has promised a patch to address the numerous performance issues encountered in Rise of the Ronin.

The ambitious action RPG Rise of the Ronin made its debut on PC a few weeks ago, but it has quickly been labeled as another disappointing port from Team Ninja. While the game boasts notable features, performance woes have overshadowed its strengths, leading to a slew of mixed user reviews that frequently cite operational issues.

Originally, Rise of the Ronin launched in March 2024 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, where it performed commendably, receiving a Metacritic score of 76. This makes the comparison to its PC performance all the more painful.

In response to the backlash, Team Ninja has publicly apologized for the game’s shortcomings and announced that a patch will be applied on April 10 to improve the user experience.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences that you may have experienced,” a statement from Team Ninja reads, demonstrating their acknowledgment of the criticism and commitment to resolving the issues.
