Larian Studios is gearing up for the stress test of Baldur’s Gate 3’s Patch 8, which promises exciting new features including cross-play support, a photo mode, and 12 new subclasses. In their first community update for 2025, Larian provided extra insights about the patch and entertained fans with the potential of the new photo mode via memes.

Larian aims to enhance gameplay by resolving some specific bugs, including ensuring Barcus the gnome isn’t obstructed by items during conversations.
Moreover, the photo mode will offer players a full range of features during gameplay and combat scenarios, enabling them to adjust character positioning and camera angles as they wish, while dialogue interactions will have more limited features.
