NetEase has revealed extensive details about Marvel Rivals Season 2, set to commence on April 11. The upcoming season introduces a new map called the Hellfire Gala, along with two new heroes and numerous updates to team-up abilities.

The latest “Dev Vision” video provides insights into Emma Frost, the first hero of Season 2, showcasing her as a Vanguard with telepathic powers. However, details on the second hero, Ultron, remain scarce.

It’s important to highlight that Ultron is primarily known as a villain. Like Dracula in Season 1, he will take the position of the main antagonist during the Hellfire Gala season. This presents a curious dynamic, as he will team up with heroes despite his notorious reputation.

As for gameplay, players are advised to start strategizing about Ultron’s role: Will he be a Vanguard, Duelist, or perhaps a Strategist? With Emma Frost designated as a Vanguard, it seems less likely that both characters will share the same role in the same season.

Come Season 3, NetEase plans to release a new hero every month, significantly expanding the roster for Marvel Rivals which may double its original size in just a few years—an ambitious move aimed at keeping the game fresh.
