Following the success of the musical RPG Stray Gods, Summerfall Studios has announced their next game, Malys, which is described as a demonic roguelite deckbuilder. The game is planned to launch on Kickstarter, with hopes for a full release in late 2025.

The Kickstarter pre-launch page outlines the story, crafted by former Dragon Age lead writer David Gaider: “As Noah, a former priest turned exorcist and demon hunter, navigate the demon-infested streets of a decaying city. Your goal is to hunt down Malys, a demon known for its cunning and power.”

Gaider urges potential backers to support this project, emphasizing that funding could lead to greater stability for the studio and more deep, story-focused games in the future. The Kickstarter campaign is expected to commence in April, aiming for a launch by the end of that year.
