The Dane’s nine-month tenure with Liquid has concluded. The organization announced that Torbjørn “mithR” Nyborg is stepping down as head coach. Current analyst Jay “DeMars DeRover” Li will act as interim head coach as Liquid searches for permanent coaching options.

The decision follows reports that Liquid is looking to secure Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek for the team. Notably, during his time with Liquid, mithR led the team to a quarter-finals appearance at the Perfect World Shanghai Major. Reflecting on his experience, mithR expressed gratitude for the support he received and disappointment at the way 2025 unfolded.
