SaGa Frontier 2, a lesser-known JRPG from Square Enix, is making its debut on PC via a remastered version. Originally released in 2000, this title was overshadowed by its contemporaries but has since gained a cult following due to its unique hand-drawn graphics and sprite work. The remaster includes enhanced visuals, a revamped user interface, a new game plus feature, and fast-forward options in combat.

In addition, players can expect quite a bit of newly added content—new narrative events, characters, and challenging bosses enhance the playthrough experience. This follows the recent launch of the original SaGa Frontier on PC in 2021.

The SaGa franchise started in 1989 as a more challenging alternative to the Final Fantasy series, and while its fame may have declined in the western market, it continues to be celebrated among JRPG fans.
