Inzoi Responds to Community Backlash: Denuvo Will Be Removed

Inzoi's development team addresses player concerns and decides to remove Denuvo anti-tamper software following backlash.

Inzoi, a new life simulation game, stirred considerable controversy shortly after announcing plans to include Denuvo anti-tamper technology upon its full release. This decision led to a whirlwind of discussions within the gaming community, with players expressing dissatisfaction over the lack of transparency around the software’s implementation.

After a chaotic 24 hours online, players voiced their concerns extensively, prompting the game’s director, Hyungjun ‘Kjun’ Kim, to clarify the situation. In a message shared on the game’s official Discord channel, Kim acknowledged the uproar and stated:

“We have decided to remove Denuvo from the Early Access build of Inzoi.”

Kim further explained that the software had been intended to deter piracy but added that it became evident that this strategy was at odds with players’ expectations. He also apologized for not communicating Denuvo’s inclusion in the demo.

In his statement, Kim reiterated the team’s commitment to prioritizing community feedback and expressed regret for any confusion caused by this decision. The removal of Denuvo not only symbolizes a shift toward greater player engagement but also opens doors for more creative freedom within the game.

Inzoi aims to enhance player experience by fostering an environment for user-generated content and player-driven narratives as it continues to develop.
