Dreamhaven is ready to launch Wildgate, its upcoming space shooter that draws inspiration from pirate-themed games like Sea of Thieves.

After leaving Blizzard in 2019, Mike Morhaime announced the establishment of Dreamhaven in 2020 with an aim to innovate the studio model. Their first game, Sunderfolk, was revealed in 2024 and is a tactical RPG inspired by tabletop gaming.

About Wildgate
Wildgate tasks players with forming crews to delve into a perilous and enigmatic region of space in pursuit of an ancient relic known as the Artifact. Players will pilot spacecraft, scour wreckage, and unearth forgotten treasures while collaborating to overcome challenges.

The goal is either to be the first to capture the Artifact and flee through the wildgate wormhole or to engage in combat with rival crews, adding an element of choice to the gameplay. Each crew can adapt their ships with unique defenses and upgrades, enhancing their play style.

Wildgate is set to launch in 2025, with a preview playtest scheduled for April 10-14.
