AMD's CEO Asserts 9070 XT Sales Surpass Previous Generations Tenfold
AMD's CEO shared impressive first-week sales figures for the Radeon RX 9070 XT, claiming they are ten times greater than any previous Radeon models.
Following AMD’s announcement of a 45% market share in Japan, CEO Dr. Lisa Su revealed that the Radeon RX 9070 XT is, without a doubt, the best-selling AMD Radeon GPU in its first week, outperforming all past generations by a significant margin. Dr. Su stated, > “the 9070 XT has been a fantastic success. Actually, it’s been the number one selling GPU for all generations for first-week sales by far, ten times higher than prior models.”
The specifics behind these sales numbers remain vague, leaving room for uncertainty regarding overall availability after initial demand. Dr. Su did share, however, that AMD is ramping up production to ensure broader access for gamers.
Dr. Su emphasized that while high-end GPUs are desired, accessing them remains a challenge for many, and AMD is keen on delivering exceptional gaming experiences at competitive prices.
Whether AMD will manage to keep up with demand and significantly bolster its market share remains to be seen as more GPUs are released over the coming months.
