Why Bloodborne's PC Adaptation Remains Elusive According to a Former PlayStation Executive

The retired PlayStation executive shares insights on why a PC version of the beloved game Bloodborne hasn't been released yet.

The Long-Awaited Bloodborne PC Port

Bloodborne fans are still yearning for the game’s release on PC. Despite being one of the standout titles from FromSoftware, it remains locked to the PlayStation platform. The demand for a remaster has reached meme-like proportions in gaming culture. Recently, retired PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida, who served in senior roles, shared his theories regarding this issue.

Yoshida’s Insights

In a discussion with Kinda Funny Games, Yoshida noted:

“Bloodborne has always been the most asked thing, and people wonder why we haven’t really done anything like an update or remaster which should be easy. Sony’s known for doing so many remasters, right? And people get frustrated.”

He suggests that Hidetaka Miyazaki, the director of FromSoftware, may wish to oversee any adaptation personally. Yoshida speculates:

“I think he is interested, but he’s so successful and he’s so busy that he cannot do it himself, but he doesn’t want anyone else to touch it. That’s my theory, and the PlayStation team respects his wish.”

Community Response

Fans have been left in a state of anticipation and frustration, as remakes and remasters flood the market while their beloved title gathers dust. As interest in the game remains high, the question persists: will fans ever see Bloodborne come to PC?

In a previous encounter with Miyazaki, he expressed a desire for more players to experience Bloodborne signaling a potential interest but refraining from making promises.

For avid followers and passionate gamers alike, the hope for a Bloodborne PC port remains alive.
