Update on GOG's Silent Hill 4 Incorporates Missing Elements from the Original Game

GOG has improved Silent Hill 4 with stability and missing content from the PS2 version.

Changes to GOG’s Silent Hill 4

GOG has announced an update to their version of Silent Hill 4, enhancing the game with previously missing content from the original PlayStation 2 version. Now, players will experience an improved game that is also more stable and offers better support for modern controllers.

The update means that players will finally get to explore some of the haunted elements that were absent in the earlier PC version. This includes terrifying scenes such as a wall of haunted dolls and other eerie encounters that fans of the game will remember fondly.

Silent Hill 4 has been updated as part of GOG’s Preservation Program, which aims to keep classic games alive for future generations.

In addition to restoring lost content, the game now performs better on modern computers, ensuring that players don’t encounter unnecessary bugs when navigating back and forth between the game and other applications. The enhancements also include support for DualSense controllers, allowing features like vibration during gameplay.
