Ghouls made their entrance into Fallout 76 earlier this week, mostly to positive feedback from the community. Regular players can now count on ghouls to harvest irradiated ore and navigate through radioactive zones during gameplay events. However, a recent development has divided the player community: ghoul camps are proving to be challenging for “smoothskin” players to access.
One major advantage for ghouls is their resistance to radiation, allowing them to use toxic waste sites for recovery and empowerment. Many ghouls, myself included, now favor the most irradiated areas on the maps to ensure safety. These spots are ideal for setting up camps.
“To the ghoul who placed his camp where it was, you know who you are. I had to inject over 30 radaway into my veins, veins that are wrapped in perfect smooth skin, not the wrinkled surface you’ve got, which looks like it’s been left out in the Mojave sun,” a player remarked on Reddit, expressing frustration at the placement of ghoul camps in hazardous regions.
Visiting these camps can be daunting for regular players, as they have to navigate through aggressive radiation while searching for vendors and their items. It is suggested that ghouls might want to consider camp placements away from dangerous radioactive areas to improve accessibility for everyone, though the thrill of exploring these newfound rad powers is hard to resist.
