Activision's Ongoing Battle Against Call of Duty: Warzone Cheating

Activision intensifies efforts to eliminate cheat providers in Call of Duty: Warzone, leading to mixed reactions from the player community.

Summary

  • Activision has reportedly shut down more cheat providers in Call of Duty: Warzone, marking progress in the fight against cheaters.
  • Players have mixed opinions—some are happy about the crackdown, while others question how effective it will be in the long run.
  • Even after banning thousands of cheaters, Activision is still struggling to get rid of them completely.

Four more Call of Duty: Warzone cheat providers have reportedly been shut down, including GCAIMX, Suave, ZZ’S, and MoneyMan. The developer is taking a step forward in cracking down on Call of Duty: Warzone cheaters once and for all, and while some players celebrate Activision’s measures, others remain pessimistic, believing cheaters will eventually return to the game.

The Call of Duty games have faced ongoing challenges with players attempting to exploit unfair advantages through cheat programs. The introduction of Call of Duty’s Ricochet anti-cheat system was part of Activision’s strategy to combat cheaters. Despite initial successes, many cheat providers continued to emerge, complicating the issue. In December, the studio assured players it would implement new technology during Seasons 2 and 3 to effectively catch hackers, and it seems this strategy is starting to show progress.
