Victor ‘Staehr’ Staehr, an influential 20-year-old player, has signed a contract extension with Astralis lasting until mid-2027. This decision highlights his importance to the team’s future.
Staehr
Staehr joined Astralis in June 2023, and his first full year saw impressive performances in 2024.
“Staehr is one of the best talents we’ve had in Denmark in five years,” Nicolai “device” Reedtz stated in an interview in 2023.
In securing Staehr’s future just months after device’s own contract extension until 2026, Astralis aims for continuity.
“My priority is to extend my contract to continue our positive progress,” Staehr noted about his commitment to the team.
Sports Director Kasper Straube emphasized the importance of retaining talent like Staehr and expressed mutual eagerness for the agreement. “This extension gives us the stability we need to keep building on our positive progress,” he added.
Currently, Astralis has been searching for titles, having not won a significant trophy since 2020, yet they recently achieved high placements in various competitions.
