Larian Studios has wrapped up its work on Baldur’s Gate, leaving Hasbro to carry the baton. In an interview at the 2025 Game Developers Conference, Hasbro’s Dan Ayoub stated that there is considerable excitement around the franchise:

“Actually, in pretty short order, we’re going to have some stuff to talk about around that,” Ayoub mentioned.

He assured that plans are under way and that they’re not rushing the timeline. Hasbro intends to approach their next steps thoughtfully, having garnered much interest from various developers about reinvigorating the Baldur’s Gate series.

As we await the future announcements from Hasbro, players can still dive into Baldur’s Gate 3, which remains popular and currently features a 20% discount on Steam until March 20.
