Voice Actor from Dragon Age Faces Serious Legal Trouble Amid Accusations
Jonathan Rees, known as Greg Ellis from the Dragon Age series, arrested on multiple charges including revenge porn.
Jonathan Rees, also known as Greg Ellis, was arrested by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office on multiple serious charges including revenge porn. Known for his role as Cullen Rutherford in the Dragon Age series, Rees reportedly turned himself in after legal authorities reached out. He has been processed and released and is expected to appear in court soon.
The charges arose from allegations involving an unnamed woman, referred to as Jane Doe in legal documents. These documents detail serious offenses including unauthorized surveillance and threats related to the dissemination of private images.
Doe and Rees had a tumultuous relationship from 2016 to 2022, during which Rees is accused of sending explicit images of her to her family and friends.
The legal issues are compounded by Rees’s controversial past, including public remarks against the #metoo movement and other critical statements made as his character in the Dragon Age series. Despite these controversies, he continued to voice roles in video games, including in Hogwarts Legacy as recently as 2023.
