MrBeast's Beast Games Casting Call for Season 2 Opens Despite Season 1 Controversies
MrBeast's reality show Beast Games announces casting for its second season, drawing attention despite significant backlash from the first season.
MrBeast’s Beast Games, a reality show inspired by the popular dystopian series Squid Game, is gearing up for its second season. Following a tumultuous first season fraught with controversy and lawsuits, the show is calling for contestants.
This week, a casting call has been issued on the Beast Games website inviting applicants for season two, which is set to be filmed from May to July 2025. The announcement was also shared on Instagram via the official MrBeast casting page.
The reality competition giant is offering a $5,000,000 grand prize for participants in this real-life Squid Game.
However, circumstances from the first season raise concerns; many contestants have voiced their grievances regarding treatment during filming, which included reports of unsafe conditions, harassment, and even medical emergencies. Some have taken legal action against MrBeast and Amazon.
Despite the challenges, the team plans to carry on with the production, hoping to improve conditions for this new season. It appears that the initial struggles did not deter the creators, and they are optimistic about future improvements, particularly ensuring the wellbeing of participants.
“Making Beast Games was not a good financial decision,” MrBeast admitted earlier this year, after revealing he personally funded a substantial portion of the production, with costs reaching upwards of $100 million overall.
