Helldivers 2 is being made into a movie, and if we’re lucky, it will feature a star-studded cast from top to bottom—and if we’re really lucky, we’ll see them all die horribly at the hands of marauding bugs, bots, and creepy aliens.

That ambitious plan was shared by Arrowhead CEO Shams Jorjani on the Helldivers 2 Discord. “We’re all hoping for as many A-list actors as possible,” Jorjani wrote in response to a user who suggested that Chris Pratt—known for seemingly starring in everything—won’t be in the film. “As long as they all get killed violently immediately.”

It’s outlandish, yet reminiscent of the 1996 action flick Executive Decision, where Steven Seagal meets a sudden end early on.

“The long answer is that we’ll see,” stated Johan Pilestedt, Python Studio’s Chief Creative Officer, noting their role in the film’s production isn’t yet clear.

Both Jorjani and Pilestedt aim to conjure an engaging cinematic experience that stands apart from classics like Starship Troopers, which chronicles a global war against alien forces, albeit with a satirical edge.
