Closure of Star Wars: Hunters Announced

The popular game Star Wars: Hunters is set to shut down in October 2025 after a series of updates.

Star Wars: Hunters will be shutting down in October 2025 after final updates in April.

  • The game faced competition in the live service gaming space, impacting its success.
  • Disappointed players can still enjoy Season 5 events with the final update on April 15.

Although Star Wars: Hunters experienced some success within its niche, it didn’t meet the expectations of Zynga and LucasFilm to justify continued support. Many players are hopeful that upcoming titles in the Star Wars franchise will replace this entry.

Originally announced in 2021, Star Wars: Hunters encountered multiple delays to ensure quality. Intended as a game to provide long-term entertainment, it aimed to deliver a hero-based arena combat experience similar to Overwatch. Despite mixed reviews, the developers felt optimistic at its launch.

In a recent blog post, Zynga confirmed that the game’s servers would close on October 1, 2025, allowing players to finish ongoing events and use in-game currency until early April.
