The acclaimed 2023 RPG Lunacid is getting a new sequel, titled Lunacid: Tears of the Moon. This follow-up is created using the Sword of Moonlight toolkit, which has a nostalgic connection to the classic game creation tools from FromSoftware, dating back to 2000.
Lunacid serves as an homage to the classic King’s Field and Shadow Tower games, both of which were early first-person dungeon crawlers for the original PlayStation. The sequel is set to launch next month.
This new title aims to delve deeper into the atmosphere and lore established in the first game. The gameplay will involve players taking on the role of Calamis Cerulean, a character tied to significant events in the original game’s storyline.
Fans can expect more details, including trailers and gameplay footage, to be revealed as the release date approaches. Meanwhile, you can wishlist Lunacid: Tears of the Moon on Steam.
