Gamescom LATAM 2025 BIG Festival Unveils Finalists for Awards

The Gamescom LATAM 2025 BIG Festival has announced 90 finalists for its prestigious awards, highlighting significant growth in the indie game sector.

Gamescom LATAM 2025 BIG Festival has revealed its impressive list of 90 finalists from around the globe. Following a successful 2024 edition, the festival aims to attract even more attendees.

In 2024, it was lauded for its execution, marking the first event that combined the convention with the BIG Festival to celebrate indie games in Latin America. This year, the event showcases significant entries from across 71 countries.

  • The festival will exhibit major AAA titles, awards ceremonies, and numerous activities related to Pokemon GO.

80 video games are competing for multiple awards, highlighting the exponential growth in the indie gaming sector, particularly in Latin America. With 32 finalists from the region, notable entries include representatives from Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico.

“This incredible participation reflects the ongoing expansion of the independent video game industry globally,” said Gustavo Steinberg, CEO of Gamescom LATAM.

When and Where is Gamescom LATAM 2025?

  • When: April 30–May 4, 2025
  • Where: São Paulo, Brazil

Best Game Finalists:

  1. The Plucky Squire (Australia)
  2. Windblown (France)
  3. Animal Well (UK)

Winners will be disclosed in two ceremonies, with the first set for April 30, awarding titles such as Best Game and Best Game in various regional categories.

Expect to see exclusive merchandise from Pokemon and special activities from The Pokemon Company during this year’s festivities, promising an exciting experience for all participants.
