The esports watchdog has yet to formally announce an investigation into the Mongolian team.
ATOX have been removed from the Asia-Pacific league in the ESL Challenger Season 49 due to a provisional suspension issued by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC), as confirmed by the tournament organizer. As a further consequence, ATOX and its players will not be eligible for competitions organized by ESL FACEIT Group until further notice.
Previously, ATOX had a commendable 9-1 record and was positioned fourth in the league standings. Consequently, all previous and scheduled matches for the team this season have been reset and erased.
In the past, the team was set to participate in the BLAST Open Lisbon event; however, they were replaced by another Mongolian team, The Huns, due to the suspension. Both MESA’s Asian Masters and the Asian qualifier for PGL Bucharest have also barred ATOX from participation.
Despite the suspension, ESIC has not disclosed any details regarding a potential investigation into the team. In light of these events, notable commentator Yunqing ‘Searph’ Hu indicated that a team ranked within the top 30 was under investigation for alleged match-fixing during a match held in the EPL 2024.
ATOX had previously competed in ESL Pro League 20, finishing in the 21st-28th position with just one victory out of four matches.
