dupreeh Discusses His Time with Falcons: A Challenging Experience

Peter 'dupreeh' Rasmussen shares his thoughts on his tumultuous time with the Falcons and his future in Counter-Strike.

Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen recently appeared on the HLTV Confirmed podcast, reflecting on his challenging experience with the Falcons.

“If I wouldn’t have been benched, I would have hit some kind of a wall,” he stated during the interview.

The Danish player discussed how his eight-month stint with the Falcons ended after the team failed to qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major. He expressed, “When the Major ended, I just didn’t enjoy it. I couldn’t see myself doing this due to the whole atmosphere in the team and the amount of hours we put in and kept going nowhere, alongside the constant hate from the outside.”

With a feeling of being reinvigorated at the start of his time with Falcons, dupreeh referenced individual successes before the atmosphere began to wear him down:

“The more we got into the whole atmosphere of the team and the results, it kept taking the breath out of me.”

Despite the difficulties faced, dupreeh acknowledged that every team member gave it their all to succeed.

“It was fundamentally very hard for us to adapt, and we didn’t have that superstar that zonic kept talking about. It’s hard to pick yourself up after hitting rock bottom and not think about why we left our previous teams.”

Regarding the acquisition of s1mple, he felt it didn’t manage to solve their issues, emphasizing the enduring challenges the team faced:

“It was interesting to play alongside some of my longtime rivals, but it didn’t really solve any of our issues.”

Discussing his future, he expressed a desire to compete again but acknowledged personal challenges:

“Returning to the server would be a possibility if the right offer came, but I don’t think I’m lucrative enough right now.”
