Shohei Ohtani is set to be the first Major League Baseball player featured in Fortnite’s Icon Series.

With this addition, players will gain access to Ohtani’s LA Dodgers uniform available in three styles: home in white, away in grey, and Lego-style for Lego Fortnite. Players will also be able to wield the ‘Trusty Two-Way Pickaxe,’ which is designed to look like a baseball bat with additional features.

Starting March 17, Fortnite enthusiasts will enjoy these unique items in the game.

“Debating baseball is almost as much fun as playing baseball, but there’s one point that’s beyond all discussion: Shohei Otani is the best player in the world right now, and it’s not even close.”

Translation: Shohei Ohtani is regarded as the world’s leading player in baseball at this moment.

There will also be back bling in the form of a bobblehead depicting Decoy, Ohtani’s beloved dog. The new cosmetics include options for players who prefer a samurai look with a flaming pitching arm after eliminating opponents, not to mention emotes like ‘Doggy Dingers’ and ‘Hey Batter Batter.’

The Samurai outfit can be unlocked early by performing well in the in-game ‘Shohei Ohtani Cup’ event, starting on March 15.
