The Stardew Valley Mod Inspired by Baldur's Gate 3 Offers New Romance Options

A new mod for Stardew Valley allows players to pursue romance with characters from Baldur's Gate 3, including Astarion.

Is there a limit to how many times you can enjoy Baldur’s Gate 3? We haven’t found it yet. If you’re among those who have, there’s a new way to spend more time with your favorite characters, including Astarion, through the Baldur’s Village mod for Stardew Valley.

After months of hard work, this mod is now available. You don’t have to create a new game to use it, as it simply supplements the original instead of replacing it.

Baldur’s Village introduces over 20 new non-player characters, six unique locations, various dynamic events, additional shops, and items—all set within a new village map accessible to the north of Pelican Town, with its entrance near Linus’s tent on the mountain, northeast of Robin’s home.

Currently, the only character available for romance is Astarion, featuring his unique heart events and gift preferences. However, he won’t be the only one available; the mod team plans to develop Halsin’s romance storyline next. According to them, “Our next focus will be creating Halsin’s romance storyline. Once completed, we will shift our attention to expanding the mod’s world-building, background stories, and gameplay by introducing new features and items.”

For Baldur’s Village to function, you’ll also need the Stardew Modding API, Content Patcher, and the Portraiture mod; these are essential for viewing the detailed pixel-art portraits of BG3’s characters. When interacting with a character, press the ‘P’ key to explore the portraits.

The Baldur’s Village mod can be downloaded on Nexus Mods, where it has amassed nearly 4,000 downloads.
