TALON Esports Parts Ways with CS2 Team
TALON Esports has decided to release its entire roster for CS2, citing a strategic shift towards better competitive placements.
TALON Esports has officially announced the release of its entire Counter-Strike 2 roster, effective immediately. The organization explained that this decision is part of a broader strategy to improve competitive performance and put players in better positions for future events.
“This follows careful consideration of our organization’s ability to put our players in the best position to participate in all available competitions needed in particular for VRS,” TALON stated in a recent release.
Just days prior to this announcement, TALON was replaced at the MESA Asian Masters by HOTU, with player Christian “ADDICT” Pendleton indicating that this was due to mismanagement regarding travel arrangements.
Originally formed in August 2024, TALON’s squad was attempting to cultivate an international team environment blending European talent with local players. Despite these efforts, the team struggled in their objectives, ultimately failing to qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major.
In a recent reshuffle, two players, Aaron “AZR” Ward and Misłosz “mhL” Knasiak, were replaced with Liam “malta” Schembri and Euan “sterling” Moore, but the team has now found itself without organizational support.
