Killing Floor 3 is now expected to launch later in 2025.
The upcoming zombie horde shooter Killing Floor 3 recently faced a disappointing closed beta test before its scheduled release on March 25. Due to overwhelmingly negative feedback from fans, the game will now see its launch delayed without a new date.
“After gathering and discussing feedback from the recent closed beta, we realized we missed the mark,” Tripwire shared in a message on Bluesky. “We aim to not only advance Killing Floor 3 but also to retain the beloved core experience.”
Tripwire, supported by their parent company Embracer Group, is addressing many of the critical issues identified during the beta, such as performance, stability, user interface, lighting, and the feel of weapons. While detailed fixes are yet to be specified ahead of launch, they confirmed plans for an update that will allow players to independently choose their perk classes and characters following release.
Despite the delay, recent community responses have been largely positive, marking a small spark of hope that the game will not disappoint when it eventually arrives. With the acknowledgment of these issues, the prospect seems promising for a more refined final product.
