EA’s Behind the Sims presentation showcased exciting updates, notably the arrival of the MySims: Cozy Bundle on PC this March 18. This bundle includes two nostalgic titles that originally launched on different platforms.
Recall MySims, the adorable chibi-Sim game inspired by Animal Crossing? Its PC debut went largely unnoticed since the first title was released way back in 2008. Now, it’s making a comeback with MySims Kingdom, providing fans a chance to revisit this charming series.
While not entirely new—having launched on Nintendo Switch late last year—the PC version is a refreshing addition for enthusiasts eager to explore titles that escaped the PC market.
In a recent interview with PC Gamer, Lyndsay Pearson described the essence of the game: “At its core, it’s still very, very Sims. It has quirky characters with silly personalities, and allows players to customize their surroundings, develop friendships, and meet neighbors. I love how that DNA shines through, creating a unique yet familiar experience.”
Pearson also pointed out that this spin-off fulfills a different craving compared to mainstream titles like Sims 4 or Sims 3, providing an alternative style for new audiences to enjoy.
As for my personal journey, I missed out on playing MySims during my childhood despite being a Sims fan. I look forward to finally experiencing these games and hope for more releases from the series in the future!
