Adapting the Iconic Dungeons and Dragons Campaign into a Novel

Penguin Random House is releasing a novel inspired by the revered Dungeons and Dragons adventure Curse of Strahd.

Penguin Random House is collaborating with Dungeons and Dragons to unveil Ravenloft: Heir of Strahd, a novel inspired by the celebrated Curse of Strahd adventure, marking the return of the Ravenloft setting in novel form after 17 years.

The book is set for release on May 1. Additionally, while Wizards of the Coast has published numerous official adventures recently, few have enjoyed the same popularity among Dungeons and Dragons enthusiasts as Curse of Strahd. This dark adventure, centered around the vampire lord, Strahd, in the notorious domain of Barovia, has been a staple of the Ravenloft setting since its introduction in 1983 during the first edition of D&D.

Fairest Friends,
I pray you accept my humble Hospitality and dine with me tonight at Castle Ravenloft. It is rare we receive Visitors, and I do so Endeavor to Make your Acquaintance. The Carriage shall bear you to the Castle safely, and I await your Arrival with Pleasure.
Your host,
Strahd von Zarovich

The novel is already available for pre-order from major retailers like Amazon and Barnes & Noble, with options for hardcover, audiobook, and ebook formats.
