roeJ has confirmed his retirement from competitive play in Counter-Strike at age 31 on a Tuesday. After being benched by Gaimin Gladiators at the end of 2024, he played his final game as a substitute for Tricked in a recent qualifier.

“In the last year or two, I have struggled with my passion for the game,” said roeJ. Translation: “For the last one or two years, my motivation and joy for the game have been very inconsistent.”

He enjoyed success in international tournaments, including wins at the V4 Future Sports Festival and Flashpoint, where his team earned $500,000. Although he had inconsistent motivation in later years, he hopes to inspire others to chase their dreams, reinforcing that age should not be a limiting factor in gaming careers.

With his playing career concluded, roeJ has taken a position as Talent & Partnerships Manager at UNCORE, a management agency founded by his former coach.
