Last week, I shared my thoughts on the new Logitech G PowerPlay charging mouse pad, expressing my disappointment over perceived size reductions. Initially, the specs indicated that it was smaller than its predecessor. However, it turns out there was a miscommunication in those dimensions that had not been updated for years.
Upon receiving the new version today and laying it against my previous model, I realized they were the same size. This experience made me question my evaluation process and the accuracy of the technical specs that are sometimes taken for granted.
In my previous assessment, I mentioned:
“This version costs about 16.6% less, but it’s also 11.5% smaller—not quite the reduction we might initially think.”
Now that I know the size remains unchanged, the new model seems like a better deal. It offers a $20 discount from the original, combined with a thinner surface, creating more room for charging.
This revelation highlights the importance of double-checking product specifications and staying informed about updates from manufacturers.
