Jared Neuss, the executive producer for Overwatch 2 since shortly after the game’s launch, has joined Riot Games to work on Valorant as a senior director. After two and a half years with Blizzard, the executive has returned to a studio that shaped his career in a new role.
Less than a month after its official release, Blizzard announced Neuss had taken over as executive producer of Overwatch 2. He was previously credited as a senior producer for Halo 5: Guardians and Destiny 2, and has also spent years at Riot Games.
In a recent post on LinkedIn, Neuss shared his excitement about the future of both Overwatch 2 and Valorant. Despite positive contributions to the former, he faced criticism regarding the downsizing of PvE content.
Neuss’s return to Riot Games signals a potential for further success for the popular hero shooter Valorant, which has consistently matched or surpassed the player counts of rivals in the competitive gaming scene.
