Exciting Developments for Genshin Impact Anime Owl Fans

Ufotable has sparked excitement among fans with a new job listing related to the long-awaited Genshin Impact anime adaptation.

Summary

  • Ufotable has listed Genshin Impact in a job listing, creating buzz among fans regarding the anime project’s progress.
  • Fans speculate that HoYoverse may choose to wait until all seven regions in the game are available before releasing the anime.
  • Although the initial excitement for the Genshin Impact anime has diminished, Ufotable’s solid reputation for high-quality animation remains.

A new job opening announced by the renowned Japanese animation studio Ufotable brings thrilling news for Genshin Impact anime enthusiasts. Since the game’s inception in 2020, players have expressed a strong desire for an anime adaptation, given the game’s intricate world-building and extended narrative that seems well-suited for a series.

The adaptation was officially unveiled during the Version 3.1 Special Program event in 2022. Despite the initial excitement generated by this announcement, developer HoYoverse and Ufotable have shared minimal updates about the project over the last couple of years.

As excitement wanes over the project amid fans, some worry the anime might have been delayed or even canceled—parallels have been drawn to Genshin Impact’s Nintendo Switch announcement made in 2020, where over four years have gone by without players gaining access to the game on this platform. However, a Reddit user pointed out a glimmer of hope—Ufotable’s recent job listing mentioned several anime series it has produced, including Genshin Impact, alleviating concerns that the project was halted.

Some players have mentioned that they suspect HoYoverse is aiming to release the anime only after all seven nations of Teyvat are available in Genshin Impact. Currently, six out of the seven regions have been included, with Snezhnaya being the only region yet to be released. According to the average update schedule, it’s speculated Snezhnaya might make its debut around August or September 2025.

Previous rumors suggest that the Genshin Impact anime will feature each main region as its own season, and some leaks hint that it might depict Teyvat’s story prior to the arrival of the main character, although this seems inconsistent with the initial trailers showcasing the game’s protagonists. Fans hope the adaptation will reveal some of Genshin Impact’s most celebrated historical events, such as the Archon War and the fall of Khaenri’ah.
