Surprisingly, No One Purchased the $386,000 Dying Light Special Edition with Parkour Lessons

The extravagant My Apocalypse Edition of Dying Light, valued at $386,000, was a marketing gimmick that thankfully found no buyers.

Collector’s editions of games can be quite expensive. For instance, the ultimate edition of Stalker 2 retails for over £300 on Amazon, while collector’s editions of Baldur’s Gate 3 have fetched more than a thousand pounds on eBay. However, none compare to the My Apocalypse Edition of Dying Light, originally promoted at a staggering price of £250,000, or $386,000. This package offered:

  • Four signed steelbook copies of Dying Light (Xbox One version)
  • 2 sets of Razer Tiamat headphones
  • Branded Night vision goggles
  • A human-sized figure of one of the game’s ‘Volatile’ enemies.
  • “Zombie survival” parkour lessons with the Ampisound team.
  • A customized zombie survival shelter.

Despite the hype, Techland’s PR manager, Paulina Dziedziak, revealed that this edition was merely a PR stunt. “It was designed to grab media attention for its outrageous nature,” she stated, adding, “Thankfully, nobody purchased it.”
