MercurySteam, the developer known for its acclaimed title Metroid Dread, has announced the upcoming release of a new fantasy adventure game titled Blades of Fire. Set to be launched on May 22, 2025, the game promises players an engaging single-player experience.

Blades of Fire will follow the adventures of Aran de Lira, the last hero capable of wielding steel, and his companion Adso de Zelk, a scholar. Their mission is to confront a queen who has cursed steel, rendering her army invulnerable.

A key feature of the game includes extensive weapon crafting and customization, allowing players to tailor their combat style with various weapon families and more than 30 unique crafting scrolls.

Pre-orders for the game are now open, with early buyers set to receive exclusive in-game items, making it an exciting addition to the upcoming gaming calendar.
