The open alpha for Splitgate 2 is officially live, providing players a chance to explore its dynamic gameplay until March 2. Check out this exciting new version of the portaling FPS exclusively on Steam.

In this latest installment, the game introduces innovative modes, including Hotzone, where teams compete to capture areas. An interesting twist is the respawn mechanic, which becomes gradually more challenging as rounds advance, though players can shorten respawn time through teamwork.

The alpha also previews Splitgate 2’s new 8v8v8 modes, designed for larger teams and set on expansive maps, significantly increasing gameplay dynamics compared to previous versions.

This limited-time opportunity to try out Splitgate 2 includes various gameplay enhancements made in response to user feedback from previous tests.

Players can now enjoy crossplay on PC, PS5, and Xbox, making it easier to engage with friends regardless of their console preference.
