Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is the latest narrative-driven adventure game developed by Don’t Nod, released in February 2025 and immediately available for PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers. As a spiritual successor to the acclaimed Life is Strange series, expectations were high, but recent data indicates that it is struggling to find its audience, even among players who got it for free with their PS Plus subscription.
Developed by Don’t Nod Montreal, Lost Records: Bloom and Rage follows the stories of four high school friends across two timelines: the summer of 1995 and their reunion 27 years later, in 2022. Just like Life is Strange, this game is heavily driven by its narrative, with players discovering what happened to the four girls in 1995 and its impact on their current lives. Interestingly, like the first episodic Life is Strange games, it will be rolled out in two parts. The first part, called Tape 1, was released on February 18, while the concluding part will be available in Tape 2, which has been delayed to April 15, 2025.
