Asus Unveils New Travel Bags for ROG Ally: A Fashion Statement or a Miss?

Asus introduces three new bags designed for its ROG Ally handheld gaming device, but their aesthetic raises questions.

Heaven or Hell?

As handheld gaming becomes a norm, Asus has launched a new line of travel bags for their ROG Ally. These bags aim to provide protection for the device, but fashion seems to be an afterthought.

With an $800 price tag for the ROG Ally X, carrying it without a dedicated case is out of the question. The current offerings include three models:

  • Slash Sling Bag 4.0
  • Slash Sleeve 4.0
  • Slash Backpack 4.0

Though undeniably functional with features like tear- and water-resistant construction, their designs might not win any beauty contests. The bags come in an elegant black but lack the flair that others in the market boast.

While ample in capacity, providing space for laptops and accessories, the overall aesthetics leave something to be desired. Let’s be honest, they might remind one of road kill, rather than high-end accessories.

No release date or pricing details for the new bags have been confirmed yet.
