Maxis has officially announced that the Burglar NPC is returning in The Sims 4. Players will now need to protect their homes with security measures as the chance of being robbed becomes a new gameplay mechanic.

This update coincides with the 25th anniversary of the franchise and will include the Business & Hobbies expansion next month.
