Classic BioWare RPG Neverwinter Nights has received a significant new DLC titled Doom of Icewind Dale more than 20 years after its initial release. This expansion picks up the narrative of the Hero of Neverwinter and offers players a chance to explore 14 new areas, along with new gameplay features that extend the story of the original game.

In total, players can expect 10-15+ hours of gameplay, along with additional companions, monsters, and music to enrich the gaming experience. Although the DLC is priced at $9.99, there is currently a 10% discount available on Steam until February 28.

Developed by Luke “Alazander” Scull, this expansion serves as a tribute to the beloved classic, promising further content in the future under the new campaign title The Blades of Netheril. As gamers anticipate more releases following the success of Baldur’s Gate 3, the arrival of new material for Neverwinter Nights is a welcome surprise for fans of the series.
