Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel Reveals Upcoming Banlist Changes for March 2025

Konami announces the latest updates to its Forbidden and Limited List for Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, focusing on minor adjustments for the upcoming season.

Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel has officially announced the newest update to the game’s Forbidden and Limited List, set to be released in early March. Throughout the 3+ years since Konami launched this popular digital trading card game, they have frequently adjusted the game’s meta via banlist updates. The next update will see two cards returned to Unlimited status:

  • Cynet Mining (was Semi-Limited)
  • Swap Frog (was Limited)

These smaller changes aim to assist older decks while new powerful strategies establish their dominance.

The most recent months have introduced numerous strong new decks and archetypes into Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel through Selection Packs. February welcomed the Fiendsmith cards, previously deemed “Tier 0” after their physical game release. However, March’s banlist update appears focused on minor tweaks rather than sweeping changes.

As Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel continues celebrating its third anniversary, Konami has rolled out various login rewards, exclusive cosmetics, and a special Solo Mode with unique animations for celebrations, further enhancing gameplay for veteran and new players alike.
