Launch Status of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Possibly Lagging Behind

Early indicators suggest that the launch of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii may not meet the sales success of its predecessor, Infinite Wealth.

The initial sales for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii may be trailing behind those of LaD: Infinite Wealth based on several early metrics. While the new release has shown lower player counts and fewer user reviews on Steam, it seems to be performing better on PlayStation.

Though Sega has not disclosed specific sales figures, estimates suggest that Pirate Yakuza achieved around 93,000 copies sold initially, substantially less than the 565,000 copies Infinite Wealth sold over its lifetime. The most recent title was released on February 21, 2025 across various platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
