Capcom has decided to further explore the connections between hunters and nature in their Monster Hunter Wilds game. The theme of humans living harmoniously with nature remains a central concern.
Enhanced Wildlife Interaction
The game’s director, Yuya Tokuda, shared insights into design priorities, emphasizing the seamless gameplay crafted to provide a more immersive experience. “We wanted to illustrate that not just through the gameplay, but a very deep story,” he stated.
“When we launched Monster Hunter: World, because it was very successful, we thought about what we wanted to express in the next Monster Hunter installment.”
Tokuda highlights the importance of enhancing storytelling around these themes.
Focusing on Character Depth
The director noted that players will get to engage with other characters like Nata and Olivia, who have personal backgrounds affecting their views on the wilds. He explained that the game aims to reflect different perspectives on hunting and nature, showcasing the complex relationship present in Monster Hunter Wilds.
