Junji Ito Collection Unveils New Skins for Dead by Daylight Featuring Iconic Horror Characters

The latest update for Dead by Daylight introduces eight new outfits inspired by Junji Ito's chilling works, allowing players to dress their characters in disturbing styles.

The Dead by Daylight game continues to expand its roster of terrifying characters with its latest update featuring the Junji Ito Collection. This notable addition brings eight fresh outfits designed from the eerie narratives created by renowned manga artist Junji Ito.

Players can now outfit both killers and survivors with costumes inspired by various stories. Some highlights include:

  • A legendary outfit for the Spirit letting her embody Tomie Kawakami, the eerie protagonist from Ito’s works.
  • Another outfit for the Artist based on Miss Fuchi, characterized as a cannibalistic supermodel.
  • The Trickster and The Twins also receive outfits reflecting the dark themes of Ito’s storytelling.

In total, survivors like Yui Kimura, Kate Denson, and Yun-Jin Lee will also feature new costumes, albeit fewer in number than their killer counterparts.

Notably, while the update includes various characters and stories, it lacks outfits inspired by Uzumaki, Ito’s most famous work, possibly hinting at future, more extensive releases.

In a casual video, Junji Ito expressed his thoughts on the crossover, stating, “It’s moving to see how my horror creations have become even more terrifying characters after leaving my hands”. He humorously noted how the survivors’ flashy outfits could make them easier to spot in-game.

This addition highlights the collaboration between game developers and manga artists, bridging genres to create something uniquely thrilling for fans.
