Marvel Rivals Announces Battle Pass Changes to Enhance Gameplay Experience

Marvel Rivals is improving its battle pass system, allowing players to utilize excess currency for skins.

NetEase has rolled out a new developer update for Marvel Rivals, focusing on improving the battle pass system to better suit player feedback. Currently, players earn three types of in-game currencies: Chrono tokens, gold lattice, and blue units. Previously, excess Chrono tokens were frustrating for players after the battle pass completion, as they couldn’t be spent effectively.

Creative Director Guangyun Chen addressed this concern stating, “We’ve heard your feedback about excess Chrono Tokens and how frustrating it can be when they don’t carry over. So we’re excited to announce a brand-new redemption system.” Now, starting from season 1.5, players can convert their excess Chrono Tokens into Units—this could potentially enhance the value of obtaining a battle pass.

The update is seen positively by players, with one commenting under the YouTube announcement, “Okay, lowkey Chrono tokens to Units is crazy good for people that play the game a lot.”

Additionally, season 1.5 will feature the introduction of characters from the Fantastic Four like The Thing and Human Torch, new maps, and other character enhancements.
