NQZ Discusses paiN’s Challenges and Triumphs

In a recent interview, Lucas “nqz” Soares opened up about the emotional rollercoaster his team, paiN, faced leading up to their playoff qualification at the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 tournament. He expressed that after struggling in previous qualifiers, their recent victory over strong teams rekindled their confidence.

“After Katowice and after [losing badly in a qualifier in Brazil], we were lacking confidence; winning against these teams right now gave it back.” Translation: We had lost our confidence after our previous matches; however, victories over strong opponents restored it.

The pressure was on as the team made crucial changes and adapted their strategies, with Rodrigo ‘biguzera’ Bittencourt taking a more vocal role on the team. NQZ highlighted how the adjustments to their gameplay have paid off, ensuring they remained competitive.

As they approach the playoff stage, nqz is hopeful and believes they can achieve even greater success if they continue to perform at their best. “Last year we were always almost in the playoffs; it feels really good to finally make it.”
