Generous Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Players Organize to Gift Over $1,500 in Game Copies
A community of players from Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, a title set in medieval Bohemia, has shown instances of kindness through a recent gifting spree in the game’s subreddit. This initiative emerged from a user who, during a financially challenging time, received help from a friend and decided to ‘pay it forward’ by offering game copies to others in need.
In a thread initiated by the user verdantsf, the community was invited to request game copies. Verdantsf shared their personal story of struggle, stating:
“A while back, I was going through a rough patch. I was in a new town without a lot of support and finances were tight. I simply didn’t have enough money for entertainment at all.” (Translation: “A while back, I was facing financial struggles living in a new town with limited support. I couldn’t afford entertainment, let alone PC games.”)
Following his lead, multiple users participated in gifting a total of around $1,500 (£1,250) in game copies, showcasing the strong bond within the game community. The kindness extended even further as Flando1 joined the thread, rallying more to help those who were left without game copies.
Such random acts of kindness serve to highlight the power of community in gaming, creating connections that go beyond virtual worlds.
