Back at CES, we reported on the new LG UltraGear 45GX950A. This impressive 45-inch OLED gaming monitor boasts a 5K2K resolution, promising better pixel density compared to earlier large-scale ultrawide displays using LG’s OLED technology.
Now, LG has confirmed that the UltraGear 45GX950A has begun mass production. While there’s no specific release date yet, it’s reassuring to learn that the monitor is now being manufactured at scale, addressing concerns over past delays between premiering high-end monitors and their market launch.
Specifications
Recent updates include a pixel resolution of 5120 x 2160 and a pixel density of 125 DPI, which vastly exceeds that of existing 1440p monitors. LG also highlighted a 0.03 ms response time and a refresh rate of 165 Hz, with a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, enhancing user experience during gaming sessions.
In terms of pricing, the 45GX950A will retail for $1,999. There is also a flexible model, the 45GX990A, which allows users to adjust the curvature, likely priced around $2,500.
