Activision Offers Detailed Match Data for Call of Duty Players to Decipher SBMM Rankings
Players can now request extensive data on their Call of Duty matches, revealing insights into their skill-based matchmaking rankings.
Recent reports indicate that Activision is allowing players to request detailed information on every match they have played in Call of Duty over the past four years. This initiative aims to help players understand their skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) rankings better. Players can submit a request through Activision’s support privacy portal. This portal was likely implemented to comply with stringent EU data privacy regulations.
Several players have taken to YouTube, like TheXclusiveAce, who showcase how to access this data. The data encompasses not only the scores for each match but also other metrics like kills, deaths, accuracy, and equipped skins. It even records unique identifiers, including IP addresses.
Thus far, many players are eager to uncover their hidden rankings, leading to discussions about what could be a transformative approach in competitive gaming. A comment on TheXclusiveAce’s video humorously suggested, “Trash talkers in cod are about to become data scientists,” indicating the depth of information now available to players.
